This started as an extension of a Mitch Mitchell jazz groove from the Jimi Hendrix tune "third stone from the sun " I tried a number of ideas with this compressed cymbal ride including a samba / bosa cross stick that seemed to fit well with a Diana Krall cover of a Joni Mitchell classic" black bird ".....
